Wimberley Medical Clinic has partnered with 3 ministries, IChooseYou, African Inland Missions and Mexican Indian Training Center. These ministries are near and dear to the heart of this clinic. Wimberley Medical Clinic believes in giving back as a response to how the Lord has blessed them.
Dr. Ramirez’ son and daughter-in-law are serving as missionaries in Sudan. They are serving under African Inland Missions. Jonathan and Lauren have been called to serve the Didinga people. Two years ago they were there and new that a short term mission trip was not what they were being called to, but a more long term relationship. They have just started their three year journey. A year ago Wimberley Medical Clinic joined with IChooseYou to financially sponsor a child, Amuge Barbra Debra in Uganda. The clinic pays for her to go to school as well as staple foods for her family. In the summer of 2008 Carolyn, the office manager was able to join the IChooseYou team to meet Debra and build a relationship with her and her family.
Mexican Indian Training Center prepares individuals called to serve God and assist the works that develop as a result of this ministry. Dr. Ramirez’ wife, Sandy was a missionary kid that was raised at this training center. Her father and mother believed that the Lord doesn’t always call those equipped but equips those who he calls. Sandy’s family was to help equip those called to the mission field. Mexican Indian Training Center is located in Cordoba, Veracruz in central Mexico.
